Engineering Innovation Virtual Information Session Are you interested in pursuing math and science? Johns Hopkins is hosting a series of virtual information sessions about their Engineering Innovation summer program. The first session is on Saturday, January 29 at 12 PM. Participants will have the opportunity to get insider details about the admissions process, understand how to earn college credit, and more from program staff. Space is limited.

Rotary Four-Way Test Speech Contest The Frederick County Rotary Clubs sponsors the Rotary Four Way Test Speech Contest anually. Each FCPS high school has the opportunity to enter one 11th or 12th grade student to represent their school. All registered contestants, as selected by each school, will give their speech during the virtual audition on Tuesday, February 22 at 7 P.M. The Four Frederick County winners will receive cash awards as follows:

National PTSA Reflections Contest The MHS PTSA are proud to share the entries we received for the National PTSA Reflections Contest by MHS students! The 2021-2022 theme was: “I Will Change the World By…” Congratulations in the writing category go to “Little Bird” (First Place) from freshman, Shirsho Banerjee.
For visual art, “Dream World” (First Place) from senior, Consuela Agostini-Broadt.
In photography: “Creating Equality” (First Place) from freshman, Logan Hegg and “Anti/thesis” (Second Place) from senior, Consuela Agostini-Broadt.
The MHS PTSA thanks all of these students for their time, effort, and outstanding work. We also thank the participating teachers at MHS for their guidance and energy towards their students!All of the entries advanced on to the Frederick County level of the National PTSA Reflections Contest where they will be judged along with entries from other high schools throughout the county.
