MSDE is seeking your feedback!
MSDE has recently joined the Launch Year's Task Force to learn about and make recommendations for secondary math pathways in alignment with the College and Career Readiness Standard. Before recommendations are made, MSDE is seeking feedback from a variety of voices including students (grades 7-11), teachers, specialists, administrators, families, and others. Feedback sessions will be held via Google Meet between June 7th and July 3rd. Please reference to the attached flyer for information and Google Meet links for each session. Also, please share with others who support math education in our schools.

As of July 1, 2024 Pear Deck Tutor (formerly TutorMe) will not be available for FCPS students. This program was paid for by ARP ESSER grant funds that come to an end August 31, 2024. The Frederick County Library has an online tutoring platform called Brainfuse HelpNow. This service can be used with a Frederick County Public Library Card Number. HelpNow is a resource designed for K-12 students and beyond. Live tutoring is available in English and Spanish from 2 p.m. - 11 p.m. to provide homework help for core subjects, including mathematics, science, and English language arts. Practice long division, improve reading comprehension, and learn other key skills. Practice for standardized tests. Students may submit papers to HelpNow’s Writing Lab for expert assistance and feedback, or collaborate with peers in virtual study spaces.
More information is available at the FCPL website, https://www.fcpl.org/learn/brainfuse-helpnow
The Citizens Advisory Council
The Citizens Advisory Council (CAC) serves as a conduit to the Board of Education for public concerns, advice, and information. An email, CAC@fcps.org, has been established for community members, parents/guardians, students, and staff who wish to share concerns, topics of interest, and/or issues with the CAC. Topics raised in these communications will be discussed by the Council and then relayed to Board leadership.
