Dates and times are subject to change
It is great to see everyone post-winter break! As you are aware, the guidance for quarantine and isolation has changed. In a nutshell:
Persons Who Have Confirmed or Suspected COVID-19 (Those who need to Isolate)
Persons Who Are Exposed to Someone with COVID-19 (Those who need to Quarantine)
Welcome to our new Custodian, Curtis Oland. Please say hello if you are in the building and see him in the hallway. We are excited to have him as a new addition to our community!
We welcome Adeline Lecouey this week to the position of User Support Specialist. She will begin the herculean task of organizing our tech and digging into software, passwords, Schoology, student logins, passwords, etc. We are so pleased to have her on board!
We also welcome Jacob Shemer as a long-term substitute filling our SEIA position. If this name sounds familiar, it’s because he’s an alum! It will be great to have him back to serve in this capacity; he will have a unique perspective as he works with students throughout the building.
Parents, we need your help solving this problem. Several students across levels have been bringing in their Pokemon cards to play, trade, and share at school. While technically this shouldn’t raise a concern, we have discovered that the cards have become a distraction. I have heard stories about theft, trades, sales, and loss of these cards. Parents, teachers, and students have brought their concerns to me. At this point, it would be best for students to focus their Pokemon card activities outside of school hours. Please help your child understand and abide by this request.
All lower elementary students in 1-3 grade completed the middle of the year Dibels reading screener. We will begin the middle of the year NWEA Maps assessments next week. Second and Third grade students will complete reading, language, and math assessments.
