New Benefits Options
Starting on July 1, 2019, Frederick County Public Schools will be offering Short Term Disability insurance and Additional Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance.
Short Term Disability insurance can replace part of your income if a disability keeps you from working for a short time. It pays you directly to help cover expenses during recovery, like housing, food and child care. To help determine your need for disability income protection, click on the Short Term Disability Needs Flyer.
Additional Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance can help protect your family’s finances if death or a serious accident keeps you from providing for them. Visit the Additional Life and AD&D Needs Flyer to assist you with the right amount of coverage for your individual circumstances.
New coverage this year. You have the opportunity to enroll in Short Term Disability coverage and Additional Life with AD&D Insurance up to $100,000, without medical underwriting approval. After this special enrollment period, evidence of insurability may be required.
Don’t miss your chance to protect your loved ones and your income from an unexpected event. Explore the Decision Support Tool for helpful information:
• Find full coverage details about the benefits you are eligible to purchase
• Watch informative videos and review benefit claims stories
• Access calculators that help you determine how much coverage you need
