Health for the Holidays Challenge Winners
The Happy Feet team of Gretchen Durkin, Katie Bittle, Tracy Thomas, Molly Murphy, and Mary Geasey won the Health for the Holidays Challenge and weighted blankets for each team member, with a combined 3,209,908 steps.
Personal Testimony: "This group was so successful due to the motivational women in it. We created a group text and sent out motivational sayings or pictures of ourselves going outside on nice days and moving. We also supported each other with our fitness goals - whether it be a healthy lunch, reaching a daily step challenge, or Tracy and her many half marathons. We knew when each other needed an extra high five. These ladies aren't just my co-workers, but they are my friends and friends are family! Having this supportive group made the difference!"
The individual with the most steps -- 1,701,805 -- was Tracy Thomas from Middletown Primary School, winning the FitBit Versa Smart Watch.
Desk to 5k
Have you ever wanted to run a 5k or improve your walking/jogging techniques? Join our Desk to 5k training program!
FCPS Wellness has teamed up with The 2 Health Nuts to provide an 8 week training program that focuses on the power of the group and helping you cross the finish line fit, strong, and injury free!
The Desk to 5k training program focuses on three main components:
The program will be from April 1st to May 27th . Classes will be held every Monday and Wednesday at 4:15pm and on Sunday at 1:30pm.
Classes will be approximately 60 minutes long. On Monday and Wednesday, we will focus on strength training and intervals. On Sunday, we will focus on distance walk. Stretching and flexibility will be incorporated in each class. This program is appropriate for all fitness levels!

Run Farther Run Faster
Who doesn’t want to out-perform their 5k, 10k, and etc. times? 2 Health Nuts has created the perfect running program to help YOU achieve your new Personal Record!
If you love to run or have completed the FCPS Desk to 5K program (with a walk and jog approach), this is the program for you. Lace up your kicks and get ready to strength train, and experience running strategies that are designed to keep you on your toes while having fun!

Spring Golf League
FCPS Golf League is in its eighth year and will play at Glade Valley Golf Club. We'll meet every Thursday beginning on April 2nd and end on June 18th, with a 5:00pm tee-time, shotgun start, and alternating 9's each week.
