The book fair is here! If you would like to volunteer, please email the library at: Library@frederickclassicalcharterschool.org. Your child will be making a book wish list during this week. Please be on the look out for this list! Book fair times are:

April 11th: 8-5pm and 6.30-8pm (during the Living Wax Museum)

FCCS is hosting a Parent Education Night - An Overview of Special Education in FCPS on Monday, April 9 at 6:00pm. A presentation will be followed by a panel of FCPS representatives to discuss a variety of topics related to Special Education and Intervention. This event is open to the public - invite a friend! Please RSVP for the event at http://goo.gl/kLAh1f - for planning purposes only. The Academic Committee is seeking volunteers to help with childcare during this event. Living Wax Museum and Spring Art Showcase - Wednesday, April 11 at 5:30pm. Please note the time change. FCCS families and interested community members are invited to come to the school and learn about historical figures from our scholars. Student art will also be on display.
The 'museum' will open at 5:30 and visitors will use the Gymnasium Entrance. Scholars in the first shift can enter through the Student Entrance starting at 5:20.
Join friends for dinner before the Wax Museum at the Route 26 Roy Rogers - mention FCCS from 3 - 6 pm on Wednesday and they will donate 25% back to FCCS!
A suggested donation of a canned or boxed good will be collected for a local area food bank at the gymnasium entrance. Please no glass or expired items.
This is a no homework night for all scholars.
The bookfair will be open after the showcase until 8pm.

Donuts with Dads is coming next week! Thursday, April 12, 7:20-8:15. FCCS scholars may invite their father (or other favorite adult, if parent is not available) to enjoy a pastry, juice, and coffee in the cafeteria. Please park in the lower parking lot on the other side of Spires Way or in the parking spaces in the back (please do not block the Clubhouse Kids parking zone). Plan to stop by the book fair, too! Our Night at the Ballpark Fundraiser is currently running! We encourage your scholars to sell, sell, sell as many tickets as they can. Order your child’s yearbook today! We encourage you to order your yearbook online now. The yearbooks will be distributed to students in June. Paper order forms will still go home with all students in the spring – so you can pay by check or cash at that time, if you prefer. Stand for the Silent: An evening with Kirk Smalley will take place on Thursday April 12, 6-9pm, at St. John’s Catholic Prep, 3989 Buckeystown Pike, Frederick MD. Kirk Smalley will talk about Stand for the Silent, a non-profit anti-bullying organization set up after he lost his son to bullying and suicide in 2010.
