1St Semester Awards Program/Valentine’s Day Parties – February 14
On February 14 at 9:00 am in our Multipurpose Room, we will be recognizing students for the first semester. If your child is being recognized, you should have received a letter. Please join us as we celebrate our students’ accomplishments during the first and second terms!
We will also be hosting our second classroom parties on February 14. Your child’s teacher will be contacting you to let you know what time your child’s party will be held. Please be sure to bring your identification and sign in at the Front Office if you are serving as a chaperone or planning to attend the party. We look forward to seeing you at our Valentine’s Parties.
Please remember school will be dismissed two hours early on Friday, February 14 for students.
2nd Annual Multicultural Fair - February 27
Come and learn about the many diverse cultures represented by our PES families at our 2nd Annual Multicultural Fair. Join us in our celebration of our unique heritages through arts and crafts, music, dance, food and fun! If your family would like to share about your culture and heritage, please contact Sharon.Golden@fcps.org to participate. We hope you will plan to be here!
Attendance Matters
Once again, we would like to congratulate 24 students who will be receiving their perfect attendance certificates along with their Term I report cards on February 7th! We proudly recognize these students for being present in school all day and want to continue to encourage you and your child to be in school each day. Our school average from September to December is on target at 96.1%. If your child is having difficulty attending school regularly, please feel free to contact Mary Roberts, our school counselor. She will be glad to work with you and your family.
