The Senior Survey is now available for all Seniors to complete on Naviance
Due Friday, May 17
IMPORTANT: COMPLETING THIS SURVEY ALSO ENSURES THAT FINAL SENIOR TRANSCRIPTS ARE SENT ELECTRONICALLY TO THE COLLEGE THE STUDENT IS ATTENDING!
The survey is a questionnaire designed to gather data related to each student's high school experience and post-secondary plans. Information gleaned from the survey responses provides data that is useful for decision-making at the state, system and local school level.
After seniors log in to Naviance, they can find the Senior Survey in several places. It is assigned under "Important To-Dos and Tasks" as well as under "What's New" on the home page. Students will click on "Senior Survey 2019" then click "take this survey." Students should please take the time to read each question and enter their answers accurately.
Please have the total amount of scholarship money earned (from the college the student is attending and private and local scholarships).
If students don't finish it all at one time, they may update it later - it can be found under "About Me" - "My Surveys" - "Surveys in Progress" if it has been saved.

The Johns Hopkins Engineering Innovation Summer (EI) Program
The Johns Hopkins Engineering Innovation Summer (EI) Program will be held at Hood College; this location will accept commuter and residential students.
EI is the summer version of a course offered to first year engineering majors at Johns Hopkins University (JHU). The semester-long course has been condensed into four or five weeks. During the program, students complete lab activities in computer, chemical, electrical, computer, civil, mechanical engineering, and materials science. Course materials, including labs and sample quizzes, can be viewed here. Students who earn an A or B in the class receive three college credits from JHU.
This is a great opportunity for students to try college engineering while still in high school. They can decide if they want to pursue an engineering major and which field is of the most interest to them.
Need-based full and partial scholarships are available for commuting students only. Students interested in receiving financial aid should apply early.
For more information and to apply online: https://ei.jhu.edu/apply/application-materials/
