Monday, May 29 - Memorial Day - Schools closed Wednesday, May 31 - Graduation! Special MHS Parking Plan for Tuesday, May 30 The lower parking lot near the stadium will be reserved for seniors and families only who will be attending the Middletown High School Senior Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 30 at 10:00 a.m. Seniors and senior families are asked to carpool because available parking will be limited. Drivers are asked to adhere to posted signs. Staff parking spots are reserved for staff. All student drivers are asked to ride the bus that day because parking will be limited. Additional, but limited parking is available in the Middletown Park. We thank you in advance for your cooperation! EARLY DISMISSAL on MHS GRADUATION DAY for Grades 9-11: MHS graduation will be on Wednesday, May 31 at 2 p.m. at Mt. St. Mary’s University. Undergraduate students may attend school the full day and regular bus service will be provided or they may opt for early dismissal at 10:45 a.m. if they complete and return the permission slip. Deadline has passed, so make sure forms are returned ASAP: fcps.ezcommunicator.net/edu/frederick/upload/61/6690.doc.pdf Important Information for Seniors: 2017 Graduation Letter and Packet Congratulations to our FCPS graduating seniors! Many of you may have files in your FCPS Google Drive that you would like to have access to after you leave FCPS. While access to your FCPS Google account will only be provided until June 30, you can take your Google Drive files with you as you leave FCPS by following the directions located here. If you have any question about this process or about your FCPS Google account, please see the Technology Coordinator or Media Specialist at MHS. Locker clean out for all underclassmen will be on Wednesday, June 7 at 2 p.m. Items left in lockers will be stored in a designated location for one week and then given to a charitable organization. Locks should remain on the lockers in the locked position. Meet the Coach Night for Fall 2017 sports will be held on Wednesday, June 7 at 7 p.m. The general meeting will be held in the Auditorium followed by break-out sessions for each sport. The start date for Fall 2017 sports is August 9 and school begins on September 5. Anyone planning to participate in fall sports must attend all tryouts and practice sessions until the start of school. Please keep this in mind when planning summer vacations. Summer Internship Opportunity: Earn $10.86 per hour! Frederick County Public Schools Communications Department is collecting applications for a Multimedia Arts Intern and a Web Services Intern. Candidates must be 16 years or older with reliable transportation. Reminder to all students: When returning textbooks, be sure to get the blue “Property Issue Receipt” back from the teacher. This is proof that you returned the book. DO NOT leave textbooks in the classroom without receiving that card or you may end up on the obligation list.
