******************************************************************************************************* MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL *******************************************************************************************************
Hello Parents & MHS Families, Today, MHS administration was very pleased to recognize MHS Students Of The Month: October. Each department selected an MHS student whom exhibited our "3 R's" (Ready, Respectful, Relentless) in their respective disciplines. Students met with Ms. Bittner, Mr. Schwarzenegger, and I to receive their certificates and to share their input on MHS improvement suggestions. We are so thankful for the model that these students serve to their peers and look forward to recognizing many more students throughout the school year. Congratulations to the following award winners: Logan Bohn, 10 Department/Teacher: English, Mr. Thompson Logan is courteous, attentive, and determined. He comes to class every day, follows all of my directions, asks clarifying questions as needed, helps his peers, and does outstanding work.
Ryan Cline, 11 Department/Teacher: Science, Mr. Sizemore Outstanding participation in AP Environmental Science. Ryan takes excellent notes during lectures and asks thought provoking questions beyond the basics showing his interest and strength in science.
Carly Dan, 11 Department/Teacher: Visual & Performing Arts, Mr. Mattingly Carly is relentless in her pursuit of excellence. She shows extreme creativity to her approach with projects, and actively seeks criticism from her peers to improve her work.
Zoey Knoerlein, 12 Department/Teacher: Physical Education, Mr. Cutsail Zoey has been doing an outstanding job during Unified PE, she has shown a great respect towards other students, demonstrates leadership skills and has created meaningful relationships with our learning for life folks. Keep up the great work!

The 95th National FFA Convention was held in Indianapolis, Indiana from October 26 - October 29 and is one of the largest student conventions in the world with a mission to develop, educate and inspire.. While at the convention, 11 Middletown FFA members joined over 68,700 FFA members and guests from across our nation.

To complete a CDE/LDE, each team or individual contestant extensively learned their subject and rehearsed their task in preparation for state convention. Every state gets to send one winning team per CDE/LDE to advance to nationals. This year, Middletown FFA’s Horse Evaluation team advanced to nationals. Congratulations to the following students:
