MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Good Afternoon Middletown Families, I hope this message finds everyone well. I can't believe we are already headed towards midterm with our students next Thursday September 23. Now is a great time to check in with your students and see how grades look in Schoology. If anyone needs support, please reach out to teachers, counselors, or administrators.
In other news, there is a new "challenge" being promoted through various social media platforms, particularly Tik-Tok, encouraging students to vandalize school bathrooms and school property. Unfortunately, this has happened at our school as well. We are being proactive at MHS and are taking measures to ensure these practices do not escalate. Please know that our school staff takes these acts seriously. Students who participate in vandalizing our school are subject to a variety of consequences, including paying restitution for any damages caused, suspension from school and/or school activities such as sporting and homecoming events, club participation, and may be referred to our School Resource Officer.
This school belongs to the entire community and should be treated as such. With that being said, we are very grateful that the vast majority of our students are respectful and use the bathrooms without incident. Thank you for your maturity. We are encouraging anyone who sees this type of behavior (in-person or via social media) to report it immediately to a staff member.
