****************************************************************************************************** Message From The Principal ******************************************************************************************************
Hello MHS Families,
This past week was National School Counseling Week. We honor our school counselors and thank them for being actively engaged in helping students examine their abilities, strengths, interests and talents; for working in a partnership with parents as they encounter the challenges of raising children in today’s world; for focusing on positive ways to enhance students’ academic, postsecondary and social/emotional development; and working with teachers and other educators to provide an educational system where students can realize their potential and set healthy, realistic and optimistic aspirations for themselves. School counselors are certified, experienced educators with a master’s degree in school counseling. The combination of their training and experience makes them an integral part of the total educational program. We are very lucky at MHS to have such a great team in student services, and we thank them for their work, especially in this year where they have had to rethink nearly every aspect of that work in delivering the best services to our children. Thank you for your support of our school counselors and your work with our school guidance office support staff.
Stay tuned next week as we will be sending home information in final preparation for our planned hybrid opening on February 16.
Sincerely, Bernie Quesada Principal, Miiddletown High School
