MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL QUESADA
This week is American Education Week and next week is Thanksgiving. These two celebrations provide us an opportunity to recognize and be thankful for the work and role of our educators and our families. Teaching is both challenging and rewarding. With the exception of parenthood, there is no greater job than nurturing and fostering the growth of our youth as a teacher or coach. This becomes even more important during these challenging times. The role of teachers and mentors continues to be integral in the lives of our children, even when students and teachers are not working together in person. A big part of the challenge during virtual learning has been for educators to find our usual rewards in these circumstances – we don’t get see the smiles, or the "a-ha" moments of our pupils, or the same personal interactions that we get when school is fully in session. Despite this, we continue to work hard on behalf of our students with the belief that our efforts are always positively impacting kids. We are rewarded by the determination and grit that is evident in our students’ work and their commitment to their learning, all made possible with your continued support and assistance at home. During this season of American Education Week and especially for the Thanksgiving holiday - I am thankful for our staff, I am thankful for our students, and I am thankful for our community.
Happy American Education Week and Happy Thanksgiving.
Sincerely, Bernie Quesada
