A Message to Middletown High School Students and Their Families
Without a doubt the first half of 2020 has been unique and challenging. We recognize how difficult it is for people, young people especially, to see the country in such civil unrest and uncertain times.
We are here to say that we embrace the diversity of our community, ranging from families that have been deeply rooted in the area for generations, to families who have more recently found our community and moved here, and everyone in between. We believe that everyone - new, old, white, black, brown, straight, LGBTQ+ - has a right to hold their values close, be heard, not feel marginalized, and have a seat at the table as part of the ongoing conversation to promote inclusion and kindness for everyone. We know sometimes the conversations can be uncomfortable, but also know that without engaging in them there is no progress. Counselors strive to be that trusted adult on the front lines of regular day-to-day school life and are invested in valuable relationship building. We want you to know that we are here for you, we hear you, and we stand with you, no matter who you are.

INFORMATION FOR SENIORS
DIPLOMA PICK UP: Tuesday, June 16 from 9 am to 1 pm
Diplomas will be available for pick up at MHS on Tuesday, June 16 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. Given that this is an important legal document, we ask that graduates pick up their diplomas in person, and they sign that they have received it. If you are unable to be there during the pick up window of time, please contact Ms. Naff at crystal.naff@fcps.org and arrange a time this summer to pick up your diploma. NOTE: A parent can pick up and sign for the student's diploma if they have a written note signed by the student giving permission.
There will also be a banner for members of the MHS senior class of 2020 to sign and to later be placed in the school.
If you received a financial obligation letter and wish to return the items or pay before diploma pick up, you may do so by coming to the school on the underclassmen collection days this week from 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM. We do not have change if you are paying for an obligation, so you must submit exact change or a check made payable to MHS.
