INFORMATION FOR SENIORS
VIRTUAL GRADUATION - June 9, 2020 @ 2:00pm FCPS has planned virtual graduation ceremonies for each school as a result of the Governor's Executive Orders associated with the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Middletown High School virtual graduation ceremony will be available for viewing beginning on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 2:00 pm.
FCPS will provide multiple opportunities for families to view the graduation ceremonies. Each graduation ceremony will be shared via FCPS social media platforms: FCPSMaryland YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. In addition, we will broadcast the ceremonies over FCPS TV (Comcast channel 18 and www.fcps.org/tv). Each high school will publish their individual ceremonies via a link on their school's webpage. FCPS is also purchasing USB drives with the graduation ceremony of individual school ceremonies to issue to our graduates as a keepsake.
For complete FCPS graduation information, please visit the FCPS Graduation 2020 webpage.

SENIOR SURVEY: Complete to ensure delivery of final transcripts to colleges The Senior Survey is now available for all seniors to complete on Naviance. The survey is a questionnaire designed to gather data related to each student's high school experience and post-secondary plans. Information gleaned from the survey responses provides data that is useful for decision-making at the state, system and local school level.
After seniors log in to Naviance, they can find the Senior Survey in several places. Under "What's New" on the home page, you will see it assigned: "Brad George assigned your task Senior Survey 2020". Students will click on "Senior Survey 2020" then click "take this survey."
IMPORTANT: COMPLETING THIS SURVEY ALSO ENSURES THAT FINAL SENIOR TRANSCRIPTS ARE SENT ELECTRONICALLY TO THE COLLEGE THE STUDENT IS ATTENDING!
If you have not logged in to Naviance since January 27, you must make a new password.
Your Username is still your 8-digit student ID.
On the login screen (https://student.naviance.com/middleths) click "forgot password," enter your FCPS email address, check your FCPS email (using gmail.com and logging in through your FCPS account), and if the Naviance password reset email is not in your inbox be sure to check your spam folder. If you have problems, email your counselor.

OPT-IN FOR A TRADITIONAL GRADE - IMPORTANT REMINDER Many of you received the traditional grade opt-in form from teachers. This is a reminder that parents need to fill out a Google form for each class if students are choosing a letter grade over the P/I-COL. When you receive a form invitation from a specific teacher, it is to opt-in for that course/teacher and that course/teacher only. Do not send additional information from multiple classes on that invitation/form.
Please make sure your child's name is on the form. The last date to opt-in for seniors is today, Friday, May 22. If you have not heard from some of your teachers, they will be in contact. We are also getting word from parents that it is difficult to complete this Google form on an iPhone or iPad. Please be sure to access the form from a FCPS student account on a desktop, laptop or Chromebook.
If you have any questions, or wish to ensure that your opt-in for a traditional grade has been received, please email your student's teacher.
YEARBOOK INFORMATION Although the Middletown High School yearbook was sent to the printer on time, the Josten's printing plant in Nashville experienced delays because of the coronavirus. The books have not yet arrived and since they did not come in time to be distributed before the seniors' last day, the plan is to hold off on handing out books until the summer in hopes of a distribution plan that allows for some flexibility. Once a plan is in place, that information will be shared with the public through FindOutFirst and other means of communication.
