INFORMATION FOR SENIORS
Baccalaureate Ceremony: The PTSA is looking for parents of seniors and juniors to help with the 2020 Senior Baccalaureate to be scheduled in May 2020; planning starts soon. This time-honored tradition is a student-led community program for MHS seniors to celebrate their upcoming graduation by hearing inspirational speakers, enjoying the talents of fellow seniors, and reflecting on their life journey to graduation. We are the only school in the county that hosts a Baccalaureate. It is always well-received by parents and students alike, and although this is a ceremony for seniors, interested parents of juniors are encouraged to assist in order to gain experience and insight for their future senior's baccalaureate. If you are interested in helping the PTSA and MHS seniors plan this year’s Baccalaureate, please email the PTSA Bacc committee: mhsptsabacc@gmail.com. An informational meeting will be forthcoming.
Seniors: As you hear back on your college applications, please remember to go in and update the status of the applications in your Naviance account!
Senior Ads in Yearbooks: Sunday, December 22, is the deadline for purchasing a senior ad in the yearbook. Parents can go directly to the website at Josten's Yearbook to place an order.
Under the "Yearbooks" tab, go to "Order Your Yearbook Ad" and pick "Order a Student Ad". You can design your ad right there on the site or simply submit the photos and have a Jostens representative do it for you.
Sunday, December 22, is the last day to purchase ads if space is available, but because space is limited, all ad purchases will be treated as first-come, first-served.
(ALL yearbook advertisement submissions and photos will be reviewed and may be edited for style, content, and appropriateness. Content that is in violation of any FCPS policy is prohibited. The parent is providing consent to use personal information about his/her child in this submission and assumes any and all responsibility and liability in the event any objections are raised by the school staff, the administration, and the student.)
