School Bus Safety
One of the important things that students need to do on their way to and from school is to be safe on the school bus, and that starts with sitting safely in a seat throughout the entire ride. This is a rule that all bus drivers share with their student riders and work to encourage and enforce. While school bus accidents are rare, they do happen and a student who is standing up, switching seats, or moving up and down the aisle is at greater risk of injury. Please remind your bus-riding students of the importance of staying in their seats and following the directions of their driver. Our bus drivers do a great job and they care a lot about students being safe. Please help your child's driver by reinforcing those expectations so that everyone can have a safe and happy ride to and from school.
Have a fantastic weekend!

Help is needed with the School Store
Did you know that the OGES PTA operates the School Store? The School Store is open every morning from 8:30-8:50 and we are in need of volunteers next year to work a shift. Whether you can volunteer to work a weekly shift or maybe a shift every 2 weeks, any help would be appreciated. Please send an email to orchardgrovepta@gmail.com with what day(s) you're available to help.
PLEASE CONSIDER JOINING THE PTA. You may send in your PTA membership form (English form; Spanish form) and $10.00 membership dues in an envelope to your child's teacher. Please write your name, your child’s name, and “PTA Membership” on the front of the envelope. Feel free to email the PTA at orchardgrovepta@gmail.com if you have any questions. Joining the PTA will help to fund field trips, assemblies, and family activities (such as Family Movie Nights, Trunk-or-Treat, Dads & Donuts, and Moms & Muffins).
