AP EXAMS - Monday, May 8 - Friday, May 12
AP exams will continue on Monday, May 8, and will continue through Friday, May 12. Rosters and classroom assignments are posted in the main hallway near the staircase. If your student cannot find their classroom assignment, please have them see Mr. Matheny in the AP Office.
At this time, we would like to provide several reminders:
Students are responsible for transportation to and from exams. Several afternoon exams will run well past the school day. It is the student’s responsibility to secure transportation. The AP exam schedule is posted here.
Some exams will run into, or past, a student's regular lunch shift. Depending on the time when the exam ends, students will either attend the remainder of their regular lunch shift, or attend the following lunch shift, and then report late to class.
During exams, students may only bring water. Food is not permitted during the exam. If students wish to snack, they may do so during a break, but not while the exam is in progress.
Students are encouraged to bring their own pencils and/or calculator to the exam. We WILL have extra pencils available to students, however, we WILL NOT provide calculators to any student.
Students MAY NOT have any electronic device (phones) during the exam, even during breaks. If your student drives, please encourage them to leave their phone in their car.

Dear Urbana Community:
The Urbana High School Girls Basketball family would like to thank all of you for your unbelievable support this season. We set records for attendance on youth night and tickets sold out for our state quarterfinal game at Urbana. When we were on the road for two of our playoff games, we had more fans in the visiting section than the home team did! All of this is a direct result of your tremendous support. The Urbana Basketball program from youth to high school is in a great position because of all of you. We are building a phenomenal basketball program from top to bottom; all thanks to this special community.
Another opportunity to come together as a basketball community is our summer basketball camp. This year's camp will take place June 5-8, from 4-7:30 PM at Urbana High School. Below is the link for registration. Please share the link with anyone who may be interested in the camp. Let's keep the trend going and set a record for number of campers registered. Please help spread the word. (See Sports Camps at UHS at the bottom of the newsletter.)

Senior News
ATTENTION SENIORS:
The senior survey is administered each year by the State of Maryland and FCPS. Its goal is to allow students to confidentially assess the quality of their education and counseling services as well as to provide direct feedback. The survey is required to be completed by all seniors as part of their pre-graduation tasks.
To access the survey, please sign into Naviance and navigate to the "About Me" tab at the top of the screen. You will then select "Surveys from your School" and then "Senior Survey 2023 New". It should take roughly 10-15 minutes to complete.
Thanks for your attention to this task!

PTSA News
Please plan now to attend our last PTSA Meeting on Wednesday, May 17! We will be holding elections for the 2023-2024 Board.
The current list of nominees are:
President - Lea Ann McNee
1st Vice President - Senami Amefia (Mimi) 2nd Vice President - Sushma Potluri Secretary - James Whitehead Treasurer - OPEN
Please note that we MUST have a Treasurer in order to be a sanctioned PTA.
