News from the Office
Greetings!
We’re more than halfway through the many days of May testing. Next week, we will continue with IB testing, make-up AP testing and Maryland state testing for 9th graders taking Algebra 2 or higher. While we’ve completed much testing, there is still much to do. Thanks to all who are helping ensure students are in school on time for these tests!
Next week is our seniors last week of classes. We look forward to a strong academic finish for our Class of ’22 and to celebrating their achievements the following week, which will culminate with graduation on May 26.
With Appreciation,
Dave Kehne, Principal
Term 4 Interim grades will be available online for review in Schoology on Monday, May 16. As always, please reach out to your student's teacher, counselor or administrator should you need additional information, clarification or help.
Note: Interims will be mailed home to only students receiving a D or F on Monday, May 16.
Important Message for Students in Dual Enrollment or FCVS: If your child is enrolled in a course offered through the Dual Enrollment program with Frederick Community College (FCC) or is currently taking a course offered through the Frederick County Virtual School (FCVS), grades are not posted for these programs in Schoology. Parents are strongly encouraged to check their child's progress.
Thank You! First of all, we are so grateful to the parents whose incredible donations helped make our Staff Appreciation Week extra special! Thanks to your generous donations, we had a variety of events to show our dedicated teachers and staff how much we appreciate them: donuts and coffee on Monday; sweet treat, and lunch for bus drivers and crossing guards on Tuesday; snack bar, and dinner for the building services staff on Wednesday; lunch from the traditional and authentic Mexican food truck on Thursday; and survival kits on Friday. We could not have done it without your support! Thank you again for showing those that work at UHS how much they are appreciated.
May Meeting Please join us on Wednesday, May 18, at 7pm in the Front Office Conference Room or Virtually for our last UHS PTSA Meeting of the year. We will be recapping our successes, and starting to organize next year's events.
