AFA - Academy for the Fine Arts Shadowing - Students interested in pursuing the arts after high school should consider shadowing the Academy for the Fine Arts which is housed right here in Gov. Thomas Johnson High School. The AFA provides an arts career pathway for students from any FCPS high school in the areas of art, dance, music, and theatre. Some classes may be taken for college credit. The AFA offers one shadow day a month beginning September 25. Students who plan to audition this year must submit their application by January 24.

Wednesday, October 16. Students may stop by the counseling office for a practice booklet once they are signed up for the test.
Students will report to their testing room– no earlier than 7:20 a.m. The test will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m. (Students who arrive late will begin late – no extra time will be given). Students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m.. Room assignments will be posted outside of the Counseling Office (Monday-Wednesday).

3. Bring a calculator (optional, but encouraged)
4. Room assignments will be posted in the Cafeteria in case you forget your room number.
