Oakdale High School Homecoming is coming up and this year’s theme is
“A Night in Paris”
! Spirit week will be October 14-18, stay tuned for spirit day themes. The pep rally will be Friday, October 18 during school starting at 1 PM. The Homecoming football game is October 18 at 7 PM.
The Homecoming Dance will be October 19 from 7-10 PM. Tickets will be on sale at all lunch shifts from October 14-18. No tickets will be sold after school hours on the October 18 or 19. Tickets are $20 each and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Students must NOT have any outstanding financial obligations and must complete an FCPS dance form in order to buy a ticket. Forms will be available starting in October in the front office, or outside Mrs. Miller’s (A204) room or Ms. Mulcahy’s (B228) room. 800 tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.

OHS Food Drive
1 in 9 Maryland students does not know if they will have food when they get home from school and all Marylanders miss more than 100 million meals annually. In order to help those in need, OHS is conducting a food drive from Tuesday, October 1 until November 1. Students can bring in contributions of non-perishable food items to their first period classes. The class that brings in the most items will win a free breakfast. If a student’s first period class is not participating in the contest, donations may be dropped off in Ms. Porter’s room, A225.

The Junior Class Club is selling Junior Class spirit wear t-shirts for just $15! Order forms are available outside of Ms. Ehrlich, Mrs. Malagari or Ms. Carman’s classrooms. Senior Portrait Pose Selection for the Yearbook
Students should select their senior portrait pose for the yearbook by Friday, Nov. 8. Any student that has not made a selection for the yearbook by date will have one chosen for them. Selected poses for the yearbook must have the blue background and have the student in tux or drape.

Class of 2020 - Senior Portrait Dates
Seniors portraits will be photographed by Prestige Portraits/Lifetouch at OHS again this year. Portrait information will be mailed home to students from the company. Only seniors photographed from Prestige Portraits/Lifetouch will be included in the 2020 Yearbook. Seniors will select a pose with a blue background as their yearbook pose.
