Any student interested in being in the Student Government Association must complete and hand in an application. Applications are available outside Mrs. Miller’s room (A204) and Ms. Mulcahy’s room (B228). Applications are due back by September 11. We will be capping the organization this year at 75 members on a first come first serve basis, so please get applications in early. Frederick Goes Purple
September is National Recovery Month and Frederick County has an initiative called “Frederick Goes Purple” to raise awareness for drug abuse in our county. OHS is using September as well to raise awareness and educate people about drugs and drug abuse. There is a bulletin board on Main Street in the building with some information about “Frederick Goes Purple” and there will be various announcements throughout the month about drug facts and awareness (particularly opioids). As a school we will also be promoting Purple Fridays on 9/13 and 9/21 by encouraging students to wear purple to school those days to show support for this initiative and the awareness month. We hope that you will also help us support this initiative.
For Parents with a student who is enrolled in an AP course
As a student in an AP course, your child will be creating an account in CollegeBoard.org, a third-party online tool that is used to register and practice for AP exams. Creating an account in this system is the only way your child can register for the AP exams. Teachers will be assisting your child in creating this account if they have not already done so for another AP course. You can visit the following address to review College Board's privacy policy, view the data they collect, and see how that data is used:
https://about.collegeboard.org/privacy-policy/privacy-statement
. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions or concerns, or if you would not like your child to participate.
Please join the OHS PTSA today!
$20 per membership (student, parent, faculty)

OHS school website
