THE PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
This week I would like to announce a staffing change in the Social Studies department.
Pamela Briggs will be taking a leave of absence from teaching for the remainder of the school year. Friday, January 18, 2019 will be her last day in her classes. The OHS community would like to thank her for her service and wish her good fortune in her time away from OHS. We will miss you Mrs. Briggs!
Mr. Ronnie Beard will join the OHS Social Studies department beginning Tuesday, January 22. He will assume Mrs. Briggs’ classes for the remainder of the semester and then begin with new classes second semester. Mr. Beard completed his student teaching internship at OHS this fall and is a December 2018 Graduate of the Masters of Arts in Teaching program at Mount Saint Mary’s University earning his certification in Social Studies and Special Education. You may know Mr. Beard from his current roles at OHS—as one of our front office secretaries and as an Assistant Coach for our Indoor Track team.
Enjoy your long weekend Bears…and remember only four full days of school left in the first semester!
