Prom and Graduation are just around the corner! These milestone events are fun, exciting and celebrate all of the hard work students and families have completed over four years. Please encourage your students who will be participating in these events to make good choices for their future and safety. The Prom is considered a school event, even though it is held off FCPS property. School rules still apply as do the laws that regulate the use of vape, tobacco, alcohol and drug use. Students who break these rules will receive disciplinary consequences based on FCPS policy which includes the removal of students from all extracurricular activities outside of the regular school day. This may mean that they will not be able to participate in Graduation and other fun Senior class activities for the remainder of the school year. Thank you for talking to your student about expectations--we are looking forward to celebrating their accomplishments!
Prom is just around the corner and students and staff are looking forward to this exciting celebration!
Students attending Prom are expected to be present through block 4 on Friday, May 18. Students should have a parent note to allow an early dismissal (12:40 p.m. - end of Block 4), if one is being requested. Students who have third lunch may leave at 12:10 p.m. rather than staying at school for their lunch shift. The parent note should reflect that time. (Note: this is a PARCC testing day, so times are adjusted from the normal school day.) Bring notes in early to help out the attendance staff! There will be a check out station at the front entrance-students will sign out as they leave.
Thank you for your assistance!
Mark your calendars!!
