The Weekly Bear News
School Calendar
Have you ever taken a look at our Bear Pride Wall in the front lobby and wondered how students are chosen to be pictured? Students who earn a finalist position in the annual National Merit Scholarship program are included as are the students who are currently holding the highest GPA from the previous school year. In addition, students who earn a first place state level award in any category for a school sponsored activity—leadership, athletics, academics, arts and communication and community service—are included. We rotate the photographs as students earn awards throughout the year. Students get to keep the photograph and certificate. We also include our current and past Teacher of the Year nominees. Please stop by our Bear Pride Wall the next time you are visiting OHS to see how our students have excelled this year!
