Youth WORKS Summer Jobs Program: We value the summer work experience as an important step in transitioning our youth from school to careers. The Youth Works! Summer Jobs Program is a work-based learning experience for youth who face barriers to employment (disability, low-income, foster care connection, etc.). Allowing these youth the opportunity to work and feel like they are contributing to society increases their self-worth, while giving them a chance to learn essential workplace skills and new tasks. The Youth Works! Summer Jobs Program is for Frederick County youth between the ages of 14 and 21 (as of July 9, 2018). Participants must meet one (or more) of the following barriers to employment:
