News from the Principal's Desk
Congratulations to all Tuscarora Titans as we finish the third term this week. It has been a busy end to the term, as students worked to finish projects, and achieve the grades the have earned in classes. Please check HAC for final grades Wednesday of next week. The good news is that all students begin with a blank slate on Monday, and the chance to end the year strong during the 4th term.
Numerous studies show that attendance is the single most critical factor in student achievement, especially in high school. While many families understand this importance, I would encourage you to think about your child's attendance patterns, especially if you are unaware of an absence. Take a look at their report card, and make sure the number of absences listed sync up with what you believe to be true. This especially takes on great importance for seniors, who must be present in class until the end of May to receive all credits.
Next weekend, our spring musical Aida opens at Tuscarora. Details about dates and ticket information is below. The musical is an excellent example of the collaborative force of the performing and creative arts. Actors, dancers, musicians, technology students, artists and crew all come together to make for a spectacular evening of live performance. Our ticket prices are very reasonable, and you will be amazed at what these students and adults are able to pull off. Please support the excellence in performing arts by coming to see Aida next weekend.
Enjoy this warm spring weekend!
