Powderpuff Volleyball - Students come out to support your fellow classmates as they take on other classes for the chance to play against the staff volleyball team! Players arrive at 4:45 pm wearing the following colors: Freshman-white, Sophomores-black, Juniors -Carolina blue and Seniors-gray. Volunteers please come at 4:15 pm. Games start at 5:00 pm in the CHS gymnasium. Entry fee is $2 (pre-registered players are free) and benefits Catoctin High School SGA and Catoctin Crazies. Concessions will be on sale.

IMPORTANT YEARBOOK ANNOUNCEMENT! We have fewer than 60 yearbooks left for sale! Don’t delay, order your yearbook today! ALL ORDERS are first come first served until we sell out! Remaining books are now on sale at CHS (order forms in front office and room 402). We are currently accepting check, cash, and money orders. Orders placed after May 3, 2019 will be cash or money order sales only. Full payment is due at the time of purchase. We do not “hold” or “reserve” books. A list of students that have purchased a book (prior to March 22nd) is on the door outside of room 402. Yearbooks are also still on sale through Jostens. Jostens accepts credit card orders, CHS does not. Jostens sales will close at the end of April or when we sell out of books. Catoctin FFA News - Maryland hosted the first round of state contest on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Westminster High School. Catoctin FFA had 23 FFA members competing on 6 teams in competition. The results are finally in! The teams that placed 1st will be representing us at the National level in October! See this link for more details and photos: Round 1 State Results
Attention Students – All vehicles parked on school property must have a current 2018-19 parking permit on display in the front window of the vehicle. In addition, vehicles must be parked in student lots only and should not park in areas designated for staff, visitors, or marked reserved. Parking tickets will be issued to all vehicles improperly parked and/or those without a valid permit. Tickets are $20 each. Parking permits may be purchased from the front office for $10. Summer School Registration is Open - If you are interested in attending summer school, please see your school counselor as soon as possible. There are limited seats and it is on a first come, first serve basis. Travel Opportunity (NON-school sponsored) - Why should you travel? The experience is everything! Educational travel is a vital part of a complete education. It expands views, promotes understanding, and provides first-hand experiences of classroom lessons. For many who participate in youth travel, the credit their travel experience as positively impacting their education and career. Consider travel to Costa Rica next year. You do not have to be a language student or speak Spanish to participate in this experience. Volunteer opportunities are embedded into the trip and can count as service learning hours.
