Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County hosts a Club at Monocacy MS everyday afterschool until 6:30PM. Members have a snack and work on their homework with youth development staff, daily, followed by special programming targeting middle school youth: Fun STEM Activities, Healthy Habits and Art to name a few. In addition, at the end of April, the Club Riders are back. Club Riders is a special program offered each spring to Members to learn the basics and safety of cycling. Bikes are not required. One day a week, Members will work with staff and volunteers to learn about bikes and begin riding. Rides normally start at the school and go into Frederick Community College. This program continues into the summer as well – culminating in the optional participation in the Tour de Frederick Cycling Weekend. Students must be a member of the Club to participate.
