SGA News
Students in the SGA recently sent half of the collected food from the Annual Food Drive to HOPE4KIDS Weekenf Food Program sponsored by the New Market United Methodist Church. Each month Hope4Kids distributes over 105 bags of food to local students in the Linganore/Oakdale/TJ Feeder Patterns. These bags are filled with items for students who are in financial need and might otherwise be hungry over the weekend.
The SGA reps and officers enjoyed seeing how their efforts are helping others in the community by spending their ELT on Wednesday packing the car for the local coordinator with Hope4Kids.
Hope4Kids often needs assistance to fill over 400 bags each month. Contact Kelly.barger@fcps.org if you or your child is interested in volunteering to assemble the bags.
The other half of the food is currently being sent to St Peters Food Pantry in Libertytown.
