30th Annual Rev. Dr. M.L. King, Jr Award
Nathaniel Morris
Nathaniel exemplifies the leadership characteristics of Dr. Martin Luther King. One example of what truly sets Nathan apart from others is his interest in going above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Every day, Nathaniel holds the doors open for students and staff before and after school, without ever being asked. In addition to holding the door for an extended period of time, Nathaniel acknowledges each person with a kind greeting. In the classroom, he willingly works with anyone and he shows respect to everyone he meets or talks to. Nathaniel's teachers used the following words to describe him: Genuine, Respectful, Hard Working, Well Liked by his Peers, and a Very Talented Artist. One of his teachers noted that he is one of the the nicest & most polite kids she has ever known; another noted that he is always positive and well mannered. We are proud to say that this kind & amazing student represents NMMS and what Dr. Martin Luther King stood for.
