Hello 3rd/4th Grade Students and Families,
Students who will be entering 4th and 5th grade next school year have the opportunity to learn a band or orchestra instrument of their choosing.
Since the instrumental music teachers are not able to present their normal recruitment show to the students in person, we have created a website for students to view.
This website provides information on what instruments are offered, videos to gain more information about each instrument,
information about the band/orchestra program, and an enrollment form for students who are interested.
Mr. Boehmer and Mr. Racster would love for all current 3rd and 4th grade students to play an instrument next school year.
Even if you do not have any experience playing an instrument, we will start from the beginning and teach you exactly what to do.
Did you play an instrument with us last year? We would love for you to enroll again for this coming year!
Please take some time to view the website and contact us with any questions.
We look forward to seeing everyone in band or orchestra lessons next school year!

Counselor's Corner-
As communities across the country and our state are grappling with recent racially-charged incidents of violence, many parents and caregivers are looking for guidance on everything from media exposure to community violence to talking about racism. In response, the American Academy of Pediatrics and others have released recommendations for caregivers, which include limiting and co-viewing what children see in the news and social media, and watching for behavior changes such as increased aggression, anxiety symptoms, or withdrawal. Families may find it helpful at this time to make a personalized media plan. In addition, this moment when many families are still primarily home-bound together represents a unique opportunity to have age appropriate conversations about racism and racial bias as well as learn and practice ways to support children of all ages as they process what they are experiencing, hearing, and seeing in the media. In light of this, we would like to share the below collection of resources to support the families you care for: Coping with Community Violence & Trauma
