Dear Falcon Families,
I am proud to say that we have made contact electronically, by email or phone with every family in our school. We are a resource for you if you need us! Please continue to reach out and let us know how we can help. Did you know if you are having a bad internet day our chrome books will pick up the FCPS wifi in our school parking lot? Put your window down for most effective use and remember social distancing rules. This week we expand into an evening food distribution on Friday (see Blessings in a Backpack below) and we will have a food drop from MD Food bank next Weds. Please watch for a Find Out First for specific details.
If your family is not able to participate in Continuity of Learning you will be receiving an email with an interim or a mailing with an interim from your child's teacher. There is still time however to complete work! Please email me and I can have a staff member support you through a phone call. With permission from you some staff members have been able to collect work samples through this phone call or talk your child through a question on these calls. We are working creatively to reach all!
Wishing your family the best! Thanks to all who have reached out to thank our staff this week!
Mrs. Seiss

Chronic absenteeism is a problem in American education during the best of times, but now, with the vast majority of the nation’s school buildings closed and lessons being conducted remotely, more students than ever are missing class — not logging on, not checking in or not completing assignments.
Educators say that some students and their parents have dropped out of touch with schools completely — unavailable by phone, email or any other form of communication — as families struggle with the broader economic and health effects of the coronavirus outbreak.
The Administration, Care team, Support Staff, and Teachers all understand the added stress families are under, currently. North Frederick staff have been trying to keep the lines of communication open with parents and caregivers. If you have any questions regarding your child’s online learning, please feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher or a Care team member.
