Dear Falcon Families,
We are so proud of the ways you have connected with our staff digitally! Please know we are still issuing paper copies each week from bins that will sit outside each Monday from 9-11. We have had to revise our plan and will not be collecting work back from you. Instead our staff can call you to collect answers or support you and your child. Some families have texted screenshots of work to their teachers as well. Our special educators are able to televisit with you and your child as needed in order to ensure support to your families focus in IEP goals. Our office is checking voicemails from telework locations each day at 240-236-2000 but please reach out via email if I can help connect you to staff in anyway. I can be reached at Kimberly.Seiss@fcps.org. Our staff work hours remain 8:00-3:30 but some teaching staff have also set up office hours as times to respond to families as well. Together we make a great team! Please stay healthy and know that we are still serving breakfast 8:30-9:30 and lunch 11:30-12:30 in our cafeteria at school. A custodian is cleaning surfaces there regularly as well. Reminder that schools and offices will be closed for Spring Break this Friday and Monday.
Stay healthy!
Mrs. Seiss

Social Worker's Suite -
Our lives have been turned upside down. The days seem to run together now that many of us struggle to manage parenting, classwork, jobs, or even job loss. As families begin to feel the stress that comes with a global pandemic and massive shifts in daily routine, how do they know when that stress has become something more concerning? Long-term stress may develop into anxiety at any age. And, too much stress or anxiety can affect our ability to think clearly.
Ways adults & children can decrease stress while social distancing:
1. Move your body
2. Eat well & drink enough water
3. Turn off your phone/limit social media/media & news exposure
4. Get a good night's sleep
5. Have fun together!
We hope that this week's resources and tools will help you and your family to remember self-care, improve your coping skills, and calm your fears.
Please follow us on social media for more ideas and resources this week!
Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter where we’ll post other ideas and resources throughout the week!
The Campaign has also created a Coronavirus Resource page, which is continually updated and we encourage you to use and share.
