Parents of LHS We are just under a month until the LHS class of 2017 graduates and we celebrate their accomplishment with the county's best after graduation event. We have our last meeting of the year on Monday May 15, at 7:00 pm in the cafeteria. We still have 140 shifts to fill for Safe and Sane. This will require about 40 volunteers to cover. We have shifts available all night but have the greatest need between midnight and 6am, with most all of those shifts in the entertainment and security areas. We also still need 8 more volunteers to run food- see detailed information below from our food lead. If you are going to be volunteering overnight at Safe and Sane and are not already signed up you must attend the meeting on Monday 15th. If you can help run food you do not have to attend the meeting but do need to contact Theresa as outlined below. If we fail to get enough volunteers to fill the 140 shifts we will need to reallocate available help and review which activities will need to be canceled due to lack of volunteers.
We are also still in need of 150 paper boxes for the coat room.
If you have items from the red folders please bring to the meeting on Monday May 15th at 7:00pm in the cafeteria.
Let me reiterate- if you want to work and did not attend the last meeting you MUST be at the Monday, May 15, meeting. Also, if we don't have sufficient volunteers who attended one of the last two meetings we will be forced to cancel some activities.
Regarding Food Pickup Safe and Sane Food Committee is still in need of 8 more Food Runners for May 31st. Food Runners help pick-up food donations from local restaurants and deliver them to Mt. Saint Mary's where the Safe and Sane event is being held. There will be pick-ups from late afternoon until 10pm. Please contact Theresa Bendler if you can help out: 443-956-7222 or theresabendler@gmail.com.
Thanks, LHS Safe and Sane Committee
