Hello, my name is Renata Emery and I have been at LHS for fourteen years and still love my job!!! I grew up in North Carolina where I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from East Carolina University. I also earned a Post-Master’s Certification from Johns Hopkins University. Most recently I have taken classes at McDaniel College as well as online.
I have two adult daughters, Bronte and Brenda, and two dogs, Remy and Romy. Other than North Carolina and Maryland, I have lived in California, Kentucky, Kansas and Hawaii. Prior to becoming a School Counselor, I worked at the NC Film Studios in Wilmington, NC, as a Costumer.
The current learning environment has allowed me to work from NYC while I care for my youngest daughter following major surgery. I miss seeing students in person every day and can’t wait to get back to the brick and mortar building that all Lancers call home!
