Hi! My name is Rebecca Howes, I am the Behavioral Support Specialist at Linganore. I live in Hagerstown with my (soon to be) 2 month old son (Callen) and German Shepherd/Husky mix (Zoe). My favorite food is pizza and chocolate; I’m always looking for good pizza - if you have recommendations, please share! I am a product of FCPS and graduated from Catoctin HS in 2001 and went to University of Maryland College Park (GO TERPS!). I would love to travel again, my last vacation was to Vietnam to visit my brother for his wedding. I hope to visit again soon, and I always love going to the beach.
This will be year 4 at Linganore, and I’m happy to continue working with my students. My role is to help students succeed emotionally, academically, and overall well being.
This is not how I envisioned the school year to be, but it's important to keep a positive mind and attitude. If your child is struggling emotionally or would like weekly check-ins to help with adjusting to Virtual Learning, please contact me at rebecca.Howes@fcps.org.
Please check out my Virtual Calming Room with links to some great resources!
