Happy Summer Patriot Nation,
We certainly have said farewell to one of the most unique school years in history. I say unique and not uncertain because I think we have used and heard the word uncertain more times in the past 15 months than we can count or care to care to count. So I am also saying farewell to the word uncertain!
I am however certain of many things. I am certain the 2021-2022 school year is going to be a transformational one. We will transform back to a unified school community filled with new exciting experiences and long missed traditions. We will enjoy the transformation of our new track and turf field, updated auditorium, increased College Dual Enrollment courses and front entrance. We will be certain to congregate for musical, theatrical, academic honor and athletic events. We will embrace face to face learning and social interaction in our classrooms and hallways. We are CERTAIN to rebuild a stronger Patriot Nation because of the battles we have fought and the wisdom we have gained!
This summer should be one for reflection and acceleration. We should be sure to enjoy time with family and friends doing things we have longed to do for over a year. I challenge all of our students to set goals that look forward. We need to give ourselves permission to stop looking in the rear view mirror and only focus on the great things to come. It will take work and patience but we will rise to levels far beyond those we left behind.
I am incredibly excited to plan for the return of our students and faculty. When our doors open for our nearly 1800 students and 220 staff, we will be ready!
Have a wonderful Summer Break! The journey to Excellence is only 2 months away! Ms. Tracey Kibler Principal
