The Community Foundation of Frederick County’s 2020-2021 scholarship application will be open from March 1, 2020 through 11:59 PM on March 31, 2020. Students who will graduate this May and are planning to attend college or those students currently enrolled and attending college should apply. Scholarships are available for all areas of study. The TJ Indoor Percussion Ensemble traveled to Richmond, VA on February 29 to compete in the third consecutive WGI Percussion Richmond Regional. The group placed first in both prelims and finals to bring home their first Championship trophy from this nationally recognized event.
The TJ Indoor Color Guard will travel to Richmond, VA this Saturday, March 7 to compete in their second consecutive WGI Richmond Regional. Last year was their first year competing at this event where they made a finals placing 13th out of 24 of the strongest groups in the area.
Come out to the Annual TJ High School KIDA Indoor Competition next Saturday, March 14 to cheer on your Patriots, their award winning shows, and see some of the great talent in the local area. The show starts at 2 PM.
AFA Cabaret: Thursday, March 19 at 7 PM here in the TJ Auditorium. This year's cabaret is set in a 1920's nightclub where the audience works together with the cast to determine who killed the club owner, Roscoe. This production will feature a silent art auction with works created by AFA students, an original script created by our Theatre students, and many show stopping numbers performed by our Music, Dance, and Theatre students. Governor Thomas Johnson Safe and Sane Bingo Fundraiser: Sunday, March 8 at the Lewistown Volunteer Fire Company. The doors open at 12 PM, Bingo begins at 1:30 PM. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door. Please see the flyer for more information Safe and Sane Bingo

International Night: Governor Thomas Johnson High School will be hosting their first annual International Night on Wednesday, March 25 from 6 PM - 8:30 PM. All students at GTJHS and its feeder schools will be able to participate. Each student will be able to represent a country of their choice and will have an opportunity to create a project and/or participate in the International Talent Show to showcase their country. Food will be available during the event. We are thankful to receive generous donations from Plaza Mexico. The event will be free of charge, however, canned food donations are greatly appreciated.
