Cadets, I wanted to take a quick second to check in with everyone before we begin our two-week break. I have been so impressed with the students and staff of FHS as I’ve walked the halls and spoken with everyone today. Teachers have been preparing students all day for the break, and students have been approaching this situation we a great level of maturity and understanding. Teachers have surveyed students to make sure we have the ability to contact everyone digitally, as well as make sure there is a way to provide materials to students who do not have access to an online environment should the situation call for it in the weeks ahead.
Throughout this time, I would encourage you to follow the information provided by the Health Department, you will see links below this message. Please reference Find-Out-First messages regarding meal service that will be provided at FHS over the break as well. We will be using Find-Out-First as a primary source of information throughout the break, but please do not hesitate to contact me via email if you have any specific questions or need any additional information.
One thing that has always impressed me about the FHS community is the resilience of the Cadet spirit. We are a community that takes care of each other, and I am certain in the upcoming days we will continue to do so. As I said, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions throughout the break. I look forward to seeing everyone when we return.
Sincerely,
David Franceschina, Ed.D
Principal, FHS

~ The PTSA is coordinating a Stadler Garden Center gift card fundraiser through mid March. Stadler will donate 20% of gift card sales to our PTSA! If you are planning any spring garden projects consider helping out the PTSA by ordering gift cards for your purchases. Gift cards make wonderful gifts (Mother's Day and Father's Day!) and are good for 4 years at any Stadler location. The garden center offers high quality plants, runs a tree sale with free planting each spring and fall, and has a great garden/gift shop. Thank you! ATTENDANCE MATTERS
Students are permitted to take only 5 vacation days per school year. If a student misses more than 5 days for vacation, those absences will be coded as "illegal" and the student runs the risk of not earning credit for the term or semester. Please contact an administrator if you have any questions.
Successful academic achievement and student attendance are directly correlated. Students are expected to maintain acceptable attendance with absence from school only for lawful reasons. Unlawful absences may result in lowering of grades, ineligibility for extracurricular activities, disciplinary action, and failures.
