Frederick County Virtual School
Where You Can Accomplish Virtually Anything!
RVP Application for School Year 2024-2025
You are currently enrolled in the High School RVP so you do NOT need to complete the RVP application for next year (2024-2025). However, if you are planning to return to your home school for in-person instruction next year, please email your FCVS School Counselor.
Learn @ Home Days
Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS) has been approved by the Maryland State Department of Education to implement up to three virtual instructional days in lieu of systemwide closure during inclement weather. While not necessarily the first option, the Learning @ Home days provide FCPS flexibility in responding to various weather emergencies. In developing the FCPS plan, our goal is to: mitigate disruption to learning mid-year; minimize additional days that often need to be added at the end of the school year; and keep students connected to learning in the event of an extended closure. Additional information can be found HERE.
Here’s what you need to know and how you can help your child prepare:
Teachers will be available each block during the times below at the usual Google meet link:

Please note that in the event of a virtual instructional day, FCPS will provide communication and notice well in advance of any predicted inclement weather to ensure that schools, students, and families are aware of this possibility and are fully prepared. Again, this communication is to assist in planning and preparation for this possibility that may be utilized in the future based on a multitude of factors. I will keep you fully informed as we move forward in planning.
FCVS Fall Virtual Art Exhibit
The FCVS fall semester Student Art Competition exhibit is officially open to the public!
These 45 artworks were selected out of 82 student entries in the fall art competition. Students enrolled in RVP were given the opportunity to submit artworks they created for their visual arts classes, or even art they made on their own, into the competition. The works selected showcase both the talents and the dedication of the FCVS Trailblazers, their commitment to excellence, their individuality, and their ability to express themselves in beautiful and diverse ways.
The virtual exhibit will run from today, January 5th, until April 15th this year. So please take some time to stroll through our virtual art gallery and enjoy the fruits of the Trailblazers’ artistic talents and hard work.
