Once again, FCPS will observe 4-day workweeks during the summer.
All 12-month employees who are assigned to the following positions will participate in the Summer Work Schedule:
If you are on the 243-day or 260-day work year calendar, the Summer Work Schedule applies to you.
For 8 weeks this summer, the FCPS work schedule will shorten to 4 days per week.
All employees whose summer work schedules would otherwise include a 5-day workweek will work a 4-day/week schedule and make up the 5th day by working longer hours* the rest of the week.
The 4-day workweek schedule takes effect Monday, June 24.
FCPS will resume the 5-day workweek schedule Monday, August 19.
During the summer schedule, schools and all Central Office departments should be open from 7:30 AM until 5 PM to provide service to the public. If necessary, supervisors may schedule employees’ workdays to assure phone and office coverage.
