MPS Families- We have been monitoring the forecast for our field day scheduled for this Friday, May 25th. The forecast is calling for rain and thunderstorms. We know how unpredictable the weather can be, but this is a big event and we want our students to have the best day!
We have decided to move Field Day to Tuesday May 31st. This currently looks like a beautiful day. The forecast shows sunny skies and warm weather. Our original rain date was going to be Friday June 3rd; however, that also looks like the possibility of rain. We appreciate your understanding as we work to make the best decisions possible with the information we have at the time.
Please note that if you are planning to participate with your student on field day, you must complete the FCPS volunteer training, there are NO exceptions. This only needs to be done one time per school year and processing can take 72 hours, don't wait!. I have included the link below and it can also be found in our last several newsletters. If you are participating, please consider attending for a portion of the day or enjoy lunch with your student. Extended visitors can be overwhelming for some of our students.
