Good Morning MiMS Families,
This morning, MiMS students and staff participated in a lockdown drill as part of our continued effort to ensure the safety and security of everyone in our school. This activity was not based on any recent threats or concerns.
During a lockdown drill, classroom doors are locked, lights are turned off, and students and staff move out of sight as much as possible where they remain silently until released by administration or designated staff members. The purpose of this drill is to ensure students and staff give thought to how they need to respond in the event that a true lockdown is necessary. I am happy to share that the drill today was successful and our students did a great job of responding promptly and responsibly.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns regarding this or any other emergency drill we conduct throughout the school year. Thank you for your continued support in discussing and reviewing the importance of safety and security protocol with your student(s).
