OHS PTSA is Back!
Dear OHS Families & Staff:
We're excited to announce that the Oakdale High School PTSA is back! We know what you're thinking. Do we really need a PTSA? Yes. Why?
Two words: School Safety
In short, we revived the PTSA to promote the safest school culture possible at OHS.
What will the PTSA actually do?
1) We are partnering with the Maryland Center for School Safety (MCSS) to train students, staff, and families to report warning signs of any threat to a child's safety. Our first virtual training for parents will happen next month. Stay tuned for more details soon.
2) Support student clubs/organizations that promote a culture of belonging and amplify the student voice/perspective on school safety issues. We are going to take the money you give us and give it back to our student clubs to make our school safer. Work smarter, not harder, we say.
How you can help:
1.
Join the PTSA and support our Red Envelope Campaign.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 and give most of that back to student clubs; we'll use the rest to sponsor an
epic
Teacher Appreciation Week this May.
We've made it as easy as possible to join and donate!
Click
here
to fill out our membership form, purchase memberships and donate to our Red Envelope Campaign
(the PayPal link to pay dues and/or make a Red Envelope donation will be on the LAST PAGE after you submit the one-page membership form). Please don't delay - join now and make a tax-deductible donation so we can get started. The Oakdale Elementary School PTSA has raised more than $30,000 this year, surely we can get to $5,000!
Thank you!
