THE NMES ART DEPARTMENT IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE:
4th GRADE ARTIST IN RESIDENCE UNVEILING EVENT
This year 4th grade artists have been working with local ceramic artist, Suzanne Herbert Forton, to create a beautiful artwork focusing on 4th grade math curriculum. Now that this marvelous mural is finished it is ready to be permanently displayed at NMES. This exciting experience promoted cross curricular connections of math and art to create a ceramic “Crazy Quilt” artwork. Each student created a clay quilt block using lines, rays, angles, and geometric shapes. Please look over the information below, and mark your calendars to come and celebrate your student’s hard work.
