Good Afternoon, Brunswick Community,
I hope your summer is going well, so far. I want to take a moment to introduce myself as your new principal for the 2022-23 school year. Thank you to all of the Railroaders who have already made me feel so welcome. What is immediately impressive to me is the strong sense of community here at BHS, as well as a strong connection to the local Brunswick community. I’ll have a more detailed introduction and survey for us to know each other better in the coming weeks. I am very happy to be serving Brunswick High School students and families.
I also have news of a change in our administrative team for the 2022-23 school year. As many of you are aware, Ms. Stephanie Bittner has been assigned to Middletown High School. At last evening’s FCPS Board of Education meeting, Ms. Stacey Cerda was appointed as Brunswick Assistant Principal, beginning July 11th. Ms. Cerda has most recently been a work-based learning coordinator at John F. Kennedy High School in Montgomery County. Prior to this, she served numerous Florida high schools in administrative roles including Dean of Students and Operations Manager. We welcome Ms. Cerda to the Brunswick Administrative Team!
Students should soon receive a mailing with their report card, followed by a later mailing with a “Save the Date” sheet announcing some of the upcoming events at BHS. I encourage you to monitor Find Out First messages, and follow me on Twitter: @BerryFCPS . In addition, we’ll soon have details of an informal “Principal Meet and Greet” that we’ll hold in conjunction with the “Superintendent Meet and Greet” event scheduled for the early evening of July 25th. We’ll keep you updated on Find Out First and social media.
I hope that you have a wonderful summer break and look forward to meeting all of you soon!
Christopher Berry
Principal
