Dear FHS Families:
I am writing to make you aware of an incident that took place at school today. Administrators were called to address a fight between two students in our library media center. Our staff was quick to intervene and break up the fight. We were fortunate to have our School Resource Officer on site, as well as officers from Frederick City, to help calm the situation. As always, we are grateful for the assistance from our partners in law enforcement.
Please know that we do not tolerate any actions of violence at Frederick High School. Students who fight will receive appropriate consequences, which may also include charges from law enforcement. As always, if you have any concern about school safety, please contact a school administrator. It is our goal to intervene, whenever possible, before a situation occurs. FCPS recommends if you See Something, Say Something, and when it comes to social media, Report It, Don’t Repost It.
Working together is the most effective approach for maintaining school safety.
Thank you,
David Franceschina, Ed.D
