Bathroom Vandalism
Over the last few days, several bathrooms in all grade levels at UMS have been vandalized,
school property has been destroyed or stolen by a small group of students.
It seems there is a new "challenge" being promoted through various
social media platforms, particularly Tik-Tok.
The name of this challenge is entitled, “Devious Licks”.
Tik Tok is aware of this challenge and has attempted to shut it down.
However, students have purposely misspelled the preexisting
challenge in an attempt to keep it going.
Please know that our school staff takes these acts seriously.
Students who participate in vandalizing UMS or steal school property
are subject to a variety of consequences, including out of school suspension,
paying restitution for any damages caused
and being referred to our School Resource Officer.
UMS belongs to the entire community and should be treated as such.
With that being said, we are very grateful that the vast majority
of our students are respectful and use the bathrooms without incident.
Thank you for their maturity.
We are encouraging anyone who sees this type of behavior (in-person or via social media)
to report it immediately and anonymously to a staff member.
