FCPS invites parents of elementary school students and interested community members to an:
Elementary Health Education Curriculum Preview
Four identical sessions are planned to conveniently fit the schedule of those wishing to preview the Health Education units taught in our elementary schools. Those wishing to attend may choose any of the sessions listed below.
The focus of each session will be on the Personal Safety unit that is taught in elementary Health Education classes (grades Pre-K through 3). In addition, the FCPS Curriculum Specialist for Elementary Health and Physical Education will be available to address parents on other elementary school health topics, such as Substance Abuse and Prevention, Disease Prevention, HIV and AIDS Education, and Grade 5 Family Life Education.
Attendees will have the opportunity to preview lessons and instructional materials associated with each of those topics.
